Want hair?... want hair faster?

As someone with lots of hair on my head, I can attest to the awesomeness of having long thick hair!. Unfortunately, not everyone can grow long hair, and of course there are instances where your hair may have been damaged, etc.. and you want to grow it out more quickly. Speedy Remedies did an article with 101 Tips to Make Your Hair Grow Faster, and I found a couple of their points to be quite interesting.

Of course, there is the obvious... the healthier you are, then the more likely that your will have faster growing hair. A few things I learned, apparently if you have oily hair, you shouldn't wash it as often, as it will cause your sebaceous glands to be stimulated, and then you will have even more oil. On top of that, if you wash too much, then the roots of the hair will get brittle and break.... this doesn't really help your hair grow faster, just some cool info I thought I'd share

So, the recommendations from Speedy Remedies is to incorporate foods that have lots of vitamins and minerals... expecially those that are high in vitamin B complex. Omega-3s also encourage hair growth, so eat your salmon and greens! Apparently you should avoid smoking or drinking (lame), as those items will cause you to lose hair due to dehydration. So make sure you drink plenty of water and get your proteins. There are also several recommendations for massaging your scalp with oils, which I don't think I would do, given my hair gets oily enough already without any help. There were also a few strange things I've never heard of, such as putting coffee grounds in your shampoo, and putting honey and onion juice on your bold spots. Some of the more obvious, like don't put chemicals in your hair or set it on fire. .... If you want to try some of the home remedies, theres another article on that as well.
